Future Projects
Rock Haven Memorial Chapel will be of wood construction in an early American style. The chapel will seat around 100 people and the interior walls will be covered with a time line of Church History starting at “Pentecost” and running through present day. The basement will contain one large classroom. Rock Haven Main Street will be a multi-purpose building containing a dining hall and kitchen, guest rooms with a lobby, a general store, and a candy shop. Although it is one building 104’ by 24’ it will have four false fronts to give it the appearance of a street out of a frontier town.
The Amphitheater will be built at the base of a natural area suited for this purpose. There will be a stage, lighting, sound system, and dressing rooms. This will be used for camp programs, Children’s Choir productions, and Gospel Concerts. The Tabernacle will be a large, open shelter which can be used for meetings, vespers services, classes, and basketball. Lake Haven will be a large pond that will be used for recreational purposes. We will begin digging this lake in the Spring of 2006. The sale of the sand that is removed will help toward building construction and other projects.
A scaled down version of “Noah’s Ark” will be built on the lake which can be visited by children to learn of that Bible event. The Barns and Riding Stables will be built in the lower pasture. Hidden Haven Lake will be another small lake built in the most remote area of the camp property. It will serve as a game preserve
and conservation area for campers to enjoy and study. Staff Housing will be constructed on top of the hill to be used by full-time staff. When this happens, the current Multi-purpose building will be converted to a “Bunkhouse” for those participating in the Christian Leadership Training Program.
We realize this project is a massive undertaking and we are willing to accept this challenge. As more get involved the faster this will go and there will be greater
ability to rescue these helpless children. God has richly blessed us thus far and we know He will provide through His people at just the right time. 70 of the 91 acres are debt free and much of the infrastructure is complete. We still owe $14,000 on the additional 21 acres that we purchased in 2005. We also are paying off $25,000 on the Multi-purpose Building. Each month, as we continue to present this project to others, more of God’s people are seeing the need and getting on board with their prayers and support. We pray you will recognize the urgency of the moment since each day that passes desperate children are slipping through our
fingers.
We are committed to going forward. If you can help us in any way please don’t hesitate to contact us. We would love for you to come for a visit, tour the camp, and see
first hand this wonderful opportunity for yourself.
